Beoordelingen over het hotel

Awesome

Very nice and original interior design. Late check in (after concert) was no problem. Parking at the hotel (underground). Bad: Fitted carpet and curtains in room need to be renewed. (stains on it) The same for dammaged furniture.

Clean, friendly and affordable

The hotel is in a nice neighbourhood, though a bit far from the city centre. Staff is friendly and helpful, the room is tidy and clean. The shower is hot and the airconditioning works. Breakfast small but good, all you need and everything fresh. I will come again when I need to be in Antwerp.

Short Break

Hotel is very central easy to reach by car , Clean and good parking , tram 11 is around the corner and brings you in 10 min downtown

Good

The taxi company the hotel worked with took nearly 30min to pick me up at 7am, whilst this is an aspect they do not necessarily have control over, the way the staff dealt with this was not sufficient. I was late for my conference and it ruined an otherwise nice stay.

Sunday breakfast advertised till 10:30. At 10am I was told I could not have breakfast due to an upcoming event. I was not informed, leaving me hungry. I paid for the breakfast and was only offered an express breakfast.

Excellent service, but the decor needs a re-think

Stayed in the TRYP for two nights on a business trip stop-over. The reception staff I dealt with were all excellent and were happy to help me with any queries I had. I arrived two hours early, and I expected to have to leave my bags and come back later, but they offered to check if a room was available straight away. This was particularly welcome after a seven-hour drive! Unfortunately the rooms are showing wear and tear, the carpets in particular are very stained. Perhaps pale yellow wasn't the best choice for a heavy-use carpet! Despite the stains, everything was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and modern. The water pressure and temperature was fantastic. The rooms have a coffee machine. I came by car, and was lucky to get a space in the underground car park. If you are planning to park, bear in mind that there are only about eight spaces in the car park. However plentiful parking can be found nearby. I've booked the hotel again for my stop-over on the way home. Positives: very friendly reception staff; clean bathroom; comfortable bed; nice bathroom; easily reachable by car; Velo stations nearby; good value Negatives: very stained carpets; black, peeling corridors have a brothel vibe; on a main road (mopeds and beeping) P.S. Buy the breakfast at the hotel, it's cheaper than when it is included with the room ;)

Good value and quality service

The hotel is located on a quiet road with easy access to the centre of town and the diamond areas. For those who don't mind walking, this takes no more than 15min s of leisurely and pleasurable walk. Services at the hotel are good and the staff were helpful and pleasant, with the exception of one or two female staff at the restaurant. The rooms were cosy and the breakfast was superb. Overall, the hotel affords a mixture of good value and quality, and I would gladly return whenever I am in Antwerp.

cypriano370 on TripAdvisor, 07.11.2017

this hotel is nice mostly because of its staff who are welcome you during 24 hours.

the most thing I liked was that they allow you to keep your luggage even after checking out and take your time then come back and get them. It was very important for me because I was alone and I had two big suitcases and this helped me to carry a big one go to university do my registration and come back and take the other one. I really appreciate this help from hotel staff. Bad: the price of the breakfast is expensive specially for persons who are alone or students and many people cant afford it or prefer to not having it

Maral on Booking.com, 07.11.2017

Based on price / location / quality, this hotel was very good and I would recommend it.

The price we paid was excellent, considering the close location by foot to the Central Station and also the quality and cleanliness of the hotel. The staff were all very polite, friendly and helpful. Bad: This did not bother us, but the bathroom door lock was broken and the handle was loose. The bathroom sink required plunging, as the water took a long time to drain.

David on Booking.com, 02.11.2017

Clean and comfortable.

Good location 10 mins walk from Antwerpen Centraal/Shopping district. Cool square behind hotel with cafes including Zeezicht...worth popping into for the pea soup! 10 mins walk through quiet neighbourhood to De Roma concert venue.

Good value for the money

Room was big, bed was huge, comfortable, clean except that shower was stuck and the water was all over the bathroom, probably we could change the room but we were ther for 3 nights only so it was not necessery Bad: Stuff, Kristina was very friendly and nice but there was one blond staff member , receptionist , he was really unfriendly, we asked for the crib that we were allowed to have he said that they dont give it because we have 3 beds, but we have a baby that sleeps in the crib not big enough for the bed and i know they have it but i didnt wanna ask twice, when i ordered a coffy he was looking back over his shoulder like i was going to steal something, very strange, no smile at all and i saw how he treat the rest of the guests, very unfriendly so i recomend to avoid him. If i was a owner of the hotel i would fire him emediatly without excuse.

Good

Choices for breakfast good. Bad: Parking cannot be booked in advance. I had to look for a parking in the street for approx. 15 min and then 5 min walking with my luggages. The nearest parking is 15min walking.

decent place, nice people, very nice breakfast

The place is decent. Quality of the rooms is good for what you need, and it’s clean. Nicely decorated, warm atmosphere, lights of the room are warm. Downstairs, there are a 2 nice, warm looking lounge rooms, a bar around the incheck desk, and a high reading table. The details are a little bit poorly done, like a cheap shower curtain easily dropping down or hard to close, the outlet of the hairdryer was not nicely closed off. The hallways are kept very dark, which probably hides some lack of maintenance. As soon as there is more light, like in the stairways, you see parts coming off, like the handrail. One night, the water wasn’t hot. Next morning it was. The heater didn’t really work. Still, overall, you get the feeling of being in a comfortable hotel. The breakfast was fantastic. If you reserve it before the actual morning, it’s only 10,-, which is a very good price for what you get. The personnel is very friendly and professional. The area that the hotel is located in is not incredibly interesting, but not very far from the station. Although it is not in the real center-center (but not far), we used the fantastic bike system (velo-antwerpen.be), and almost every 200 meters you find bikes which bring you in 7 minutes to the center. Fantastic system, good bikes, 4,- per 24hrs/person, and works easier than the one in Paris.

Very comfortable - Fair prices

I stayed in a single room at the fifth floor. It was really clean, quiet and very comfortable room. The staff was really helpful and polite. The location is nice (20 minutes walk to the center). The only negative thing is that when we arrived the parking was full and we had to circle a little bit till we found a place to park. I would stay again without second thought !!

Friendly Staff, OK location

2nd night on my Belgium tour. Easy to find on Sat Nav. Parking is directly under the hotel. Garage door just to the left of main door. You have to drive onto pavement. Watch out for Cycles!. Door buzzer on left and shuttle goes up. 20 euros. Fairly long walk into the heart of Antwerp but a fair bit to see on the way in. Hotel had a good atmosphere at the bar, and was very well serviced by the Barman. Loved the design of my room.

Good

Second time there, we yould still go back. Bad: We were very sad to realise that our previous request, wich as been confirmed by e-mail by the hotel, was not avaible when we arrived. We asked for the room in the back, as requested, and they said they didnt have it anymore. Still, they gave us a room in the last floor, so we could stay away from the noise of the street.

Citibreak

Excellent location, helpful staff, 5 starts comfort and cleanliness, generous breakfast Slow wifi and a bit noisy room in the morning

Exceptional

Location: about 10 mins walking from the train station and 20 to the city centre. Other option is tram (only a couple of stops). The design of the rooms is elegant and cosy. In general, the hotel is lovely. Staff is friendly and breakfast has a wide range of choices (if booked in advance, costs 5 euros less and it worth comparing to the city prices) Bad: Wifi wasn´t that quick and the room, in the morning, was a bit noisy.

Very well located Hotel Neir City and Diamond center

Nice and price wise correct Hotel. Great Breakfast. car Park is too small and often full. On street Parking is possible but 3.80€ a day with max stay of 10hrs. For tourists train is a better solution close to central station.

fredv859 on TripAdvisor, 13.10.2017

Graet Hotel for visiting Antwerp. Close to the train station. Better price as IBIS and Much better.

Nice Hotel perfect and multilingual staff. Bad: Car Park is too small for the hotel. If parking outside you need to pay. Max stay is 10hrs.

Good for what was needed

When arriving in Antwerp my plan was to walk to the hotel, I was quite surprised how far away it was from the main station, plus it was in the opposite direction of the main city. Be prepared for a quarter of an hour walk if you do the same, its easy enough to find just a little further than I would of hoped. On arriving I was greeted quite rudely by a male member of staff and was told our room wasn't ready until a the cleaners had finished. I only had to wait 20 minutes until I was allowed to check in, thankfully other people had arrived and I got served by a nicer member of staff. The room itself I cannot fault it was very spacious and very clean and had a kettle to make tea when needed, would of been nice to have extra milk and sugar as it was a room for three. Shower was good too. Only downside the room was made for three guests, the third guest on a movable bed, apparently not very comfy and every time you rolled over the bed moved with you hahaha. Otherwise its not a bad hotel, it met our needs for the weekend.

Very Good

The breakfast buffet is quite big and something I'd recommend! The location seems a bit far from the station but it's actually only a 15min. walk. And for that little stroll you'll get an area that is nice and quiet. The city center is also a shot 20min. walk. The staff is very friendly, helpfull and really listens to special demands. I came after 23h which was never a problem, I suddenly wanted to include breakfast, which was sttled immediately and I asked for a double instead of twins, which was also immediately taken care of.

Good Tryp...

Hotel located close to Antwerpen Centraal (5mn by car/20mn walking) Cleaning and property Friendly staff Bad: Hard to park during the night Noisy area (specially rooms in front of the main avenue) Breakfast expensive

Exceptional

The facilities were nice featuring "primitive flemish" designs for the bed background. You get free access to TWP and some other perks for signing up for Wyndham's rewards program. Bad: The bathroom's shower was too powerful that caused it to be damp after. Also the hallways were a bit too dark for me.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, good wifi connection Bad: Parking 20 EU per day but street parking available

Baris on Booking.com, 21.09.2017

You get what you see, no frills, but very reasonable.

All the rooms were standard rooms. Clean and comfortable, plenty of hanging space. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and the bar is shut between 1am and 7am so overnight drinks are a potential problem if you want a cup of tea at 4am no chance. Bad: Tea/coffee making facilities would be nice

Amazing overall, quite romantic. The staff were helpful and the hotel was very clean. 9/10

I loved the interior decorations. Loved the design of the rooms especially the bathrooms. The lobby was beautiful. Great that you get to use the safe free of charge. Wifi was fantastic! - increddibly fast. Everything in the hotel was amazing, the only problems i experienced are stated below - apart from them it was amazing! Bad: I loved the overall hotel, there was only 2/3 small problems for me. 1) the location to central station was about 20 minutes and got tiring to walk there everyday. 2) there were never more than ome staff member at the reception meaning when it got busy (which it did a lot) you would have to wait a while. 3) i experienced a personal problem when i get there at 4am i had to wait outside for ovef 30 minutes as there was nobody at reception.
